Genova, affectionately called La Superba, is a city that unfolds in layers, and with this collection, I wanted to showcase those layers through my lens. This new collection features 45 framed works of art, each capturing a different perspective of Genova— its grand architecture, stunning coastline, seamless blend of modern and traditional buildings, and the vibrant energy of its streets.
I’ve created this collection thinking about the essence of a city. If you are drawn to the look of facades, the contrast of modern and contemporary structures against traditional walls, or the coast of the Ligurian Sea — there is something here for everyone.
Each framed print highlights Genova’s rich character, a story of a city that is both timeless and ever-evolving.
My journey through Genova was filled with inspiration, which I found walking through historic alleyways. The goal of creating each of these works of art was to try to capture the true character of Genova’s soul.
As you can imagine, this isn’t that easy of a task, but as I was walking through the historical center of Genova – in between the alleyways, through the main streets, and even to the famous characteristic Ligurian seaside – I honestly felt like the subjects I captured almost beckoned me to take their photo.
The Contrasts That Define Genova
The contrast between narrow streets, historic buildings, and sleek modern facades gives this place a unique charm. I captured Impara l’Arte as a way to bring its story to life.
The duality of this city is very marked: sometimes, you can walk down the street and see a modernistic-looking structure right next to a few historical ones, just like in Time Traveller.
Impara L’arte
Genova, Italy
Genova, Italy
I started exploring the heart of Genova, where old and new collides and alleyways lead to such amazing bursts of color.
One thing that I really loved in Genova is little Caruggi, where on every corner, you can see galleries and creative spaces.
In A Line Dried Life, you can see the simple beauty of a city corner, with clotheslines hanging between pastel-toned buildings and a soft Ligurian
sun shining on them.
I loved stumbling upon these buildings, you can feel like it’s bringing you to the daily life of these streets.

The other two images, Rise Against and Un Futuro Per La Patria, showcase the sharp similarities between La Superba and the city of Naples: an expanse of colorful buildings surrounded by green hills. Yet, unlike the lively chaos of Naples, Genova offers a more tranquil atmosphere.
The Port of Genova
One of the main things you can see in Genova is the Ligurian rocky coastline. The gentle waves, the sea breeze, and the quiet solitude of the beaches created a serene atmosphere, making it perfect to explore the city comfortably.
Walking along the waterfront, I was amazed by how much slower the world seemed here. People strolled, exercised, or simply soaked up the sun. Coming from a bustling city center to a calm and scenic beachside view. Places like this make me feel right at home.
Architecture That Speaks Volumes
Another fascinating detail is how much of Genova’s beauty is above eye level. Some of the most intricate architectural details, like ornate balconies (Twelve in the Sun), carved window frames, and painted ceilings, are easy to miss if you don’t stop to look up. When you walk through this city, slow down, pay attention, and appreciate the details that you see.
I took a photo of the great arch of Arch Ambitions, which I creatively captured through a thicket of cypress trees. If you don’t know me by now – I love being able to catch unique viewpoints like this – not to try to challenge myself to find them but also to inspire locals and travelers like yourself to try to find where they are.
Orange Dream is another photo I took while getting lost in the city. The church dome dominating the view in this narrow street was a great sight to capture.
La Superba is one of those places that reveals its true soul over time. The deeper you explore, the more you uncover, and the more you learn, the stronger your love for it grows.

I hope that you found the piece of work that you really liked. If you see something that you would love to add to your space, let me know, I would love to hear from you.
Cheers until the next time. <3
