On one of the side streets of Piazza della Repubblica, Photographer and Digital Artist, Scott Allen Wilson, captures a black and white scene that depicts the life and movement of the historical center in Florence, Italy. In the foreground and center of the image, a girl riding a bike is focused, while she rides through people walking in front of her, mostly in the opposite direction. The buildings that frame the street lead our sight to create depth as they narrow into a vanishing point, while the details in the architecture contribute to the sensation of movement and rhythm. This piece is printed on a panchromatic Ilford B&W paper, and mounted with a bright white passe-partout. A matte float glass covers the image and it’s framed by a beautiful ebony solid wood frame. Every element of this print was chosen carefully to make a unified piece of art.
