In a quiet corner of Oltrarno, lies the church Santo Spirito. By showing only the tip of the church, Photographer and Digital Artist, Scott Allen Wilson, transmits the soothing aura of minimalism. Unlike other architectural pieces of Florence, Santo Spirito is not filled with details and adornments. However, the symmetry of the photograph reveals its perfectly geometric proportions. The round windows and corners allow the viewer to appreciate an avant garde architecture. This piece is printed on a panchromatic Ilford B&W paper, and mounted with a bright white passe-partout. A matte float glass covers the image and it’s framed by a beautiful ebony solid wood frame. Every element of this print was chosen carefully to create a truly unique piece of art.
