In this black and white scene, where sunlight shines bright, three layers of historic edifices stack in front of each other. In the foreground the facade of a residential house stands beneath the striped tower and the adorned dome of the Cattedrale di San Lorenzo in Genova, Italy. You almost can’t tell which of the two stands in front of the other, creating an illusory feeling that pervades the whole scenery. The print has been realized on Hahnemühle FineArt Pearl paper, it is displayed with an anthracite passe-partout underneath acrylic glass, and surrounded by a beautiful ebony solid wood frame. Every element of this piece was individually selected with intention as being a part of a unified piece of art.
