His Castle Upon The Land

This artistic photograph shows Fountain of Neptune standing in the middle of Municipio Square. The intense blue sky highlights the monument, and gives it such a majestic vibe. It was captured in Naples, Italy by Photographer and Digital Artist, Scott Allen Wilson. The print has been realized on Fuji Crystal Archive paper, and is displayed underneath a glossy float glass, surrounded by a beautiful black oak floater wood frame. Every element of this piece was individually selected with intention as being a part of a unified piece of art.

I think this print perfectly encapsulates the essence and the energy of Naples, Italy. I hope you love it 🙂

Thoughts and Ponderings about His Castle Upon The Land

Being away from where I am from has shown a light on my life, and on myself.
A light into the corners of my mind that I haven’t thought about since I was a kid-
Spotlights focused on all of my strengths, weaknesses, basic needs, and insecurities. [Have you ever felt so happy that you skip to the coffee maker in the morning?
Have you ever felt so disconnected that you forget you like to make art?] Sometimes I feel like a boy on the run from something that I cannot define.
Sometimes I feel like a man on the experience of a lifetime- A journey of growth and personal investment.

Whatever energy I may be filled with in a given moment, I often take time to try to understand my feelings, and to have a deeper understanding of myself
I feel like by doing so it also allows me to better understand other people, or at least be more empathetic, patient, and understanding of that fact that there are somethings I will never understand.
I guess I feel comforted in the fact that I really still have so much to learn, we all do-
and that our unique differences are really what connect all of us and make us special.

Today I know that there can be comfort in the light, and sometimes it’s okay to shy away from it
That running isn’t always bad as long as you keep moving forward,
And that just being true to yourself, and loving and feeling loved as deeply and often as you possibly can is the most fulfilling and powerful thing that you can ever do or experience.

From a warm couch, with an even warmer pup laying next to me.

Scott
