A Recap of 2022!

It’s 2023! Can you believe it? I have to say that in 2022 I was finally able to get some great work done and feel a lot more like myself. The pandemic is still ongoing unfortunately, but I think almost all of us can agree that 2020 and 2021 were especially tough years. Last year I made a world of progress with my recovered energy, and I was able to also find the motivation to get back on track with a variety of projects. Looking back on what I accomplished in 2022 I honestly feel proud of myself for the amount of work I was able to complete. I started by redesigning my whole website, and re-thinking my strategy as a photographer. I hired an amazing assistant which gave me a lot more time to think about things at a higher level and spend more time on creating art and designing my customer UX. By the end of 2022, I published 20 blog posts, sent 18 newsletters, launched more than 200 new works of art, set up my first two semi-permanent exhibitions in Florence, and with your purchases was able to donate close to €1000 euros to charity. Checkout my 2022 recap video if you’re interested, and read on for more details!

One of my favorite projects from 2022 was installing my first semi-permanent exhibition in Florence. The first one is currently still at Articolo 17 , located at Borgo la Croce, 64 r – where you can have an amazing craft beer and relax in the chill atmosphere while checking out a few of my pieces on the walls. Also, the bartenders are such a cool group of guys – and they are a huge part of what makes the environment so fun. At Articolo 17 I hung four large framed prints and 1 8×12 print. You can also scan a QR code to see more details of each of the prints and the stories behind creating these works of art.

Shortly after I installed my first exhibition at  Articolo 17 I was able to install my work at Caffè Piansa – which honestly made me so happy. I consider Piansa to have the best coffee in Florence, delicious lunch menus, and beautiful decoration – but mainly I love that going to Piansa feels like home. Everyone that works there is just so nice, and my art up on the walls honestly feel like they were meant to be there for years. Caffè Piansa is located at Via Vincenzo Gioberti, 51/red, The exhibition is still up, and there you’ll find 5 larger prints and 1 8×12 print as well.

2022 was all about reimaging my work as an artist, and really defining and refining what I wanted to produce and offer to the world. So far I’ve created just over 200 unique works of art which is something I’m really proud of. To see the rest of my work, I invite you to take a look at my shop where you’ll see my products organized by the city – and a quick video explaining how you can efficiently search through my shop until you find a print you love! You can find a variety of colorful or black-and-white prints from Florence, Venice, Naples, Rome, Assisi, Siena, and Verona. Inside every product page, you’ll find a description of the product with a gallery showing how the finished print would look like and some inspiration designs to help you visualize the print in a certain environment. Inside each product page there is also a 3D video showing you what the print will look like when it arrives in your hands.

Last but not least – for those of you who have purchased art from my online store – you’ve helped donate almost 1,000 euros in 2022 alone. 15% of my sales made through my shop go to charity organizations – so if you find a print you love you can choose which organization to donate to during checkout. These are the three most popular charities we helped support thanks to your purchases last year 🙂

Rainforest Trust

A charity that purchases and protects the most threatened tropical rainforests, saving endangered species through partnerships and community engagement.

Direct Relief

A humanitarian aid organization, active in all 50 states and more than 80 countries, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies – without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay.

Friends Of Florence

A non-profit organization supported by individuals from around the world who are dedicated to preserving and enhancing the cultural and historical integrity of the arts in the city and surrounding area of Florence, Italy.

2022 was probably my most productive year yet as a travel photographer – and pursuing this dream is only possible because of your support! So, thank again you so much for your time and for those who purchased. I’ve got a lot of exciting work planned out for this year, and I can’t wait to share my work in 2023! I hope you’re having a wonderful start to the year and hope to hear from you soon!

Cheers! 🍻
