Rome, The Eternal City – My newest collection of framed art

Amazing view of great Rome taken by Photographer Scott Allen Wilson

As you know, one of my main goals as an artist is to transport you to the cities I’ve been to – transmitting to you my feelings, emotions, and perspective through each of my prints. To create a sense of awe and wonder – to inspire amazing conversations. If you haven’t been to Rome, I hope I’ll be able to take you there, even for a moment. If you’ve been there before, I hope I can help you relive your greatest memories of La Grande Bellezza. I have to say I feel so accomplished. This collection started almost 10 years ago. It’s taken a lot of work, and I’m so proud and excited to share these with you.

The Night Watch

Castel Sant’Angelo, Rome

Fun Fact: I’ve been to Rome more than 30 times. I consider Rome to be one of my homes-away-from home, and it therefore should be no surprise that I have a robust collection – my largest yet, with 38 unique pieces- of art that I’ve created from my many adventures in Rome. Rome is an infinity of architecture, of stories, hidden gems and beauty. There are not many places in the world where you can feel the glory of a civilization in your bones. Each framed print of Rome I’ve created will show the details and beauty of the most known structures such as the Roman Colosseum and the Pantheon – as well as the some beautiful landscape shots of the city that will undoubtedly make you want to buy a ticket to Rome immediately. Without further adieu, I present to you: Rome, The Eternal City.

La Romana

The Pantheon, Rome

The Pantheon is such a unique structure – it was impossible to capture even the exterior with one photo. La Romana is a black and white shot of the Pantheon, with a Roman lady walking in front of the structure at a brisk pace. Can you imagine needing to walk in front of the Pantheon on the way to work? A mixture of the greatness of human achievement, and the everyday reality that Romans live in- captured in one work of art.

Colossal Beauty

Roman Colosseum, Rome

Ancient Beauty

Roman Colosseum, Rome

The Colosseum on the other hand is a really fun subject to capture. There are so many angles to see, but only few are, in my opinion, considered the best and most artistic. The colosseum is surrounded by trees, and on a good day – blue skies.  If you’re a fan of the Colosseum, I’m sure you’ll love both Colossal Beauty and Ancient Beauty .

Trevi Fountain

Trevi Fountain, Rome

Fontana di Trevi

Trevi Fountain, Rome

Another famous attraction is the Trevi Fountain. One could only describe this fountain as divine baroque excellence. If you’ve ever been to see the fountain, you’ll know how amazing these shots really are, and how perfect the conditions were to capture them.

Beyond

Rome

Besides famous monuments and ancient architecture, my collection includes lovely landscape views of the Eternal City.  Beyond, Eternità, The Eternal City, and Millennia are the prints in my collection that portray Rome’s Grand Magnificence. The Eternal City specifically exhibits plenty of Rome’s most virtuous architecture that rises with greatness over the city’s rooftops. If you look closely, you’ll also see snow on the mountains in the background.

I wish I could show what’s behind each of the prints in this large collection, but don’t hesitate to check them out, and feel yourself get transported to this wonderful city. If you have been to Rome before, and recognize any of the locations I captured these shots from – let me know in the comment section – I would love to hear from you!
