My name is Scott Allen Wilson, and I’ve been a resident of Florence, Italy since 2012. I’m originally from Southern California, but I’ve spent the past decade living here, while also working as a travel photographer throughout most of Europe. Currently on my online store you can find artistic framed prints that I’ve created from several cities in Italy, with new cities, countries, and collection releases happening about every month. If you’re interested in my full bio read on here.
I feel so honored to have one of my pieces of Florence on display here at Vivoli Gelateria! For a few years now Vivoli has been my go-to place to get amazing coffee and the best custard-filled cornetti (croissants) that you can buy in Florence. I know they are famous for their Gelato, but I kid you not these pastries are seriously the best. Go early in the morning to be sure you can get them before they run out!
Every time I come into Vivoli, I really feel like I’m a part of the family. The main reason I decided to give them this gift is because of how they’ve made me feel during the pandemic. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if it wasn’t for the wonderful staff working at Vivoli during this difficult time, and I’m so grateful that they’ve always made me feel at home and a part of the community. I’m so happy that I’ll be able to see my art up on their wall whenever I stop by for a coffee and a chat 🙂 Thanks again Vivoli!

Details about the piece on display at Vivoli Gelateria:
Vivoli by Scott Allen Wilson
As the title states, I named this piece after Vivoli Gelateria, which is located near Santa Croce in Florence, Italy. When I first approached Lorenzo about the idea of gifting this photo to their Gelateria – it was pretty funny because he had taken a very similar photo the same day that scooter was parked there. His first response when I showed him the image was ‘Hey, I took that photo!’. We both laughed about that as he found a similar photo in his phone he had taken as well. It was a photo that begged to be taken! 🙂 The scooter itself belongs to a gentleman that also lives in the neighborhood, and he often parks it there in front of the gelato shop. Everything about this photo I think is a perfect representation of this historic place, and I feel honored to know that I’ll be a small part of their interior decoration.
